Part-Time Employees

Employee
Conduct

Respect for everyone

ChowNow is a safe space for you. We treat each other with care and respect—harassment, discrimination, and retaliation aren’t tolerated.

Make every voice heard

Everyone deserves to be heard, so be mindful to not interrupt and wait your turn during meetings and everyday conversations.

Relationships in the workplace

We encourage fostering friendships at ChowNow, however intimate relationships between managers and direct reports aren’t allowed.

Be mindful online

We encourage you to be mindful of damaging the reputation of ChowNow on social media. Also, follow guidelines for respectful content while communicating on company tech and property.

Top secret stuff

We’re proud of the work we do, so when it comes to new products and projects, don’t spill the beans to outside parties.

Conflicts of interest

Avoid conflicts of interests. Side hustles are fine, but be mindful of our company’s interests when taking on new opportunities. If you’re confused about what that means, just reach out.

Dress like an ambassador

As a remote-first organization, we want to uphold the ChowNow culture while remaining flexible, so we encourage you to dress business casual.

Stay clear-headed

This might be a bit obvious, but please don’t partake in any substance such as alcohol or recreational drugs while you’re on the clock. Just don’t do it.

Freedom of assembly

We support your beliefs and your right to engage in political activity, as long as it doesn’t violate any of our basic values. For example—participating in marches and protests is cool, engaging in hate speech or other hateful conduct isn’t.

Setting expectations: job duties

To foster transparency and understanding, you’ll meet with your manager the first week to discuss your role and expectations.

ChowNow
house rules

Guests and visitors

You’re more than welcome to bring your friends and family around our offices for a casual visit. To keep the peace and good vibes, we just ask that you act as a liaison.

Take pride in your workspace

Our offices are clean, warm, and inviting—let’s keep them that way. Do your part by keeping your workspace tidy.

Company property

Please look out for our stuff! Take good care of ChowNow property as if it’s your own. This also includes cubicles, rental vehicles, and hotel rooms (no raging parties, please).

Parting ways
—for now

If it’s time for us to go our separate ways, we’ll help make that transition as smooth as possible.
